The Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card and Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card are two of my favorite no-annual-fee business cards! Both earn Chase points, both have fantastic welcome offers, and both have no annual fees! 🙌🏼
💡 And here’s something a lot of people don’t realize: you don’t need a huge business to apply for a business card. You can qualify even with a small side hustle! -> Here’s how.
So… what’s the difference between the two cards? Which one is actually better for YOU to get right now? Let’s break it down! 👇🏼
Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited Similarities
🚨🔥 Welcome Offer:
How to Turn the Cash Back Into Chase Points:
Even though these are technically cash back credit cards, they actually earn Chase points! If you only have one of these cards, your points are worth 1 cent each.
BUT—if you also have a transferrable card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ or the Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, you can combine your points and transfer them to travel partners like Hyatt, United, or Southwest! Which can often make your points worth a lot more!
Annual Fee:
Both cards have a $0 annual fee! 🙌
0% Intro APR:
The Chase Ink Unlimited comes with a 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 12 months then 17.49% - 25.49% variable APR.
The Chase Ink Cash comes with a 0% APR on purchases for the first 12 months then 17.49% - 25.49% variable APR.
This may come in handy if you have a big expense coming up and want to spread out payments. THAT BEING SAID, I recommend paying off all credit cards on time and in full!
The Biggest Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited Difference
The biggest difference is how you earn rewards:
Ink Business Unlimited: Earn 1.5% cash back (1.5x points) on every single purchase.
Ink Business Cash: Earn 5% cash back (5x points) on the first $25,000 per year at office supply stores and on internet, cable, and phone services; earn 2% cash back (2x points) on the first $25,000 per year at gas stations and restaurants, and earn 1% cash back (1x points) on everything else.
My Take:
You can’t go wrong with EITHER card and it your decision might just come down to your spending. The Ink Unlimited is easy and consistent with a 1.5% cash back on all purchases, while the Ink Cash is a win if you spend a lot in the categories that offer 5% and 2% cash back!
If you’re like me, you may eventually end up getting both :) I love these cards and with a solid welcome offer and no annual fee, these are cards I can recommend to just about anyone!
Note: Chase now treats the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card and the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card as a single family for bonus eligibility — meaning if you've earned a welcome bonus on one, you may not be eligible for the bonus on the other using the same business. If you're applying for the first time, I recommend applying as a sole proprietor.
If you own multiple businesses, there may be a path to earning both bonuses or another bonus on the same card. Data points are showing the best chances of approval for a second card come from applying with a separate business that has an LLC and EIN number.
You are eligible for both an Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card welcome bonus and a welcome bonus on a no annual fee Ink card and you can hold both at the same time.
As always, I appreciate it so much when you use my credit card affiliate links to apply for a new credit card! It supports my small business at no cost to you!
