Capital One Transfer Partner Sweet Spots
Capital One Venture Miles are one of the most flexible ways to earn and redeem travel rewards. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to maximize every mile, these points can help you travel more for less!
The easiest way to use Venture Miles is by covering travel purchases directly through your account, which makes this one of the most beginner-friendly programs out there. But if you really want to get the most value from your Capital One Miles, consider transferring them to one of Capital One’s airline or hotel transfer partners.
Another nice perk? Capital One releases your miles quickly—usually within 1–3 days of your purchase—while many other banks wait until after your statement closes. That means your points are ready to use faster, which can make a big difference if you’re eyeing a limited-time award seat or hotel deal.
When it comes to choosing the best Capital One travel cards, my top picks are the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, and the Capital One Venture X Business Card. All three earn 2 miles per $1 spent on every purchase, helping you build your balance quickly and start planning your next getaway.
Capital One Transfer Partners
Note about Capital One Transfer Parters: I don’t think these transfer partners are as beginner friendly or as recognizable as Chase’s transfer partners. Chase has transfer partners like Hyatt, Southwest, United, and more! HOWEVER, that’s not to say that you can’t learn and use these amazing transfer partners!
Capital One currently partners with 22 airline and hotel loyalty programs — including four hotel options. Most transfers occur at a 1:1 ratio, meaning one Capital One Mile equals one partner point or mile, though a few programs have slightly lower rates. The newest additions, as of September 23, 2025, are JAL Mileage Bank, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and I Prefer Hotel Rewards.
Loyalty Programs with a 1:1 transfer ratio:

Air France/KLM Flying Blue
Transfer your Flying Blue miles to book flights to Europe! Economy starts from 25,000 miles one way, premium economy starts from 40,000 miles one way, and business class starts from 60,000 one way. Flying Blue offers a 25% discount on award tickets for children aged 2 to 11 when they are traveling with an adult! You can also book Delta flights through Flying Blue for often a lot less than booking the same flight with Delta Sky Miles on Delta’s website!
British Airways
You can book nonstop American Airlines flights through British Airways starting at 12k Avios each way! One way economy flights to Hawaii on British Airways can start at 16,000 Avios plus taxes and fees for a one-way nonstop when booked through British Airways for flights on partner airlines like American or Alaska Airlines from the West Coast.
Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club uses dynamic pricing, which means award rates can swing from sky-high to unbelievably low. It’s not uncommon to find routes like Boston to London for as little as 6,000 points in economy. Just note that return flights from London often come with higher taxes and fees because of the UK’s departure charges! You can also book Delta flights through Virgin Atlantic for often a lot less than booking the same flight with Delta Sky Miles on Delta’s website!
Air Canada
You can book United Airlines flights through Air Canada’s Aeroplan program since both are part of the Star Alliance network. This means you can use Aeroplan points to redeem seats on United-operated flights when award space is available.
Wyndham Rewards
You can transfer your miles to Wyndham and sometimes book properties that can sleep up to six people! See this post for more details!
Bottom Line
There are a lot of great ways to redeem your Capital One miles and transferring your points will give you a lot more travel value than covering your travel expenses.
