How to Book Wyndham All-Inclusive Resorts Using Points (What Families Should Know)

Guest Post by Jenn McCue

If an all-inclusive vacation on points sounds good… but the typical price doesn’t 😅 this one’s for you. Jenn from Pointing The Way to Memories breaks down how to book Wyndham All-Inclusive Resorts using points (for way less than you might expect!).

Using Wyndham Rewards points for an all-inclusive resort might sound too good to be true, but it’s not!  There are actually several resorts you can book.

While these redemptions can significantly reduce the cost of a vacation, they’re not always completely free—especially for families. Most all-inclusive awards cover two guests, which means adding children or additional travelers may come with an extra nightly fee.

Still, when you consider that meals, drinks, and entertainment are included, using points for an all-inclusive stay can be a great way to stretch your travel budget.

And any time I don’t have to think about meal planning, sign me up.

Let’s dive in, shall we?

How Wyndham All-Inclusive Awards Work

Wyndham Rewards has a simple award chart compared to many hotel programs. Standard free nights typically price at 7,500, 15,000, 30,000, or 45,000 points per night, depending on the property.

Keep in mind that if you hold one of the Wyndham Rewards Earner credit cards, you receive a 10% discount on all award stays.  This discount comes off automatically at the time of booking.  I’ll give you a list of what cards give you this perk later on.

For Wyndham’s all-inclusive resorts, many award stays start at around 30,000 Wyndham points per night for two guests.  Although there are a few that start around 15,000 Wyndham points per night…more on that later.

When you redeem points for an all-inclusive stay, the nightly rate generally includes:

  • Your hotel room

  • All Meals

  • Drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic)

  • Resort entertainment

  • Some on site activities

This means your points can cover much more than just the room. However, there are a few limitations to keep in mind—particularly when traveling with more than two guests.

Important Consideration for Families: Additional Guest Fees

One important detail to understand is that like most all-inclusive properties on points, Wyndham all-inclusive awards cover two guests per room.

If you’re traveling with children or additional adults, you may have two options:

  • Pay additional for 3rd and 4th guests

  • Book additional rooms

If you travel with a family of five (or more!), like I often do, you might be doing both of the above tactics.

For example, when I recently contacted Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa to ask about adding a child under 12 to a points reservation, I was quoted $180 per night for the third guest.

Our plan is to book two rooms at 30K points per night each and add a third person in one room. (Keep in mind, because I hold the Wyndham Business Earner card, each room will only cost 27K points per night.)

While this obviously means the stay is no longer completely free, it’s still worth comparing the total cost to the resort’s standard cash rate.  For some locations - like the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres, the cash rate can run pretty high during peak season!  I like to think of these trips as ‘deeply discounted vacations’.

When you consider that the nightly price includes meals, drinks, entertainment, and resort activities, paying an additional fee for a child may still represent significant savings compared to booking the full stay with cash.  And let’s not forget - there’s something to be said for being able to book it, show up and not have to make any more decisions.  🙂

Nightly rate for Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres in points and cash

Over Labor Day weekend, 2026, cash rates for the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres are hovering around $500 per night for two people.

In the image below, notice the cash rate.  $2600 for three nights!  Of course that includes taxes and fees as well.  But I am not paying $2600 for a three night vacation.

In the next image you’ll see the booking with points.  Notice there are no taxes and fees on award stays and it gives me my automatic 10% discount for being a Wyndham Earner cardholder.  For just 81,000 Wyndham points I can take the same vacation! For those of you who like counting, that’s 3.2 cents per point!   Even if I have to add my child for ~$180 per night, I’ll take it.

Cards that Earn Wyndham Points

Luckily there’s a large chunk of cards that earn Wyndham points now.  Including a new player in town - Chase Bank!

Let me start with the co-branded Wyndham cards themselves.  It’s important to have one of these cards if you want to get the 10% discount on award stays.

I personally love the Wyndham Rewards Earner® Business Card (non affiliate link). It earns 8x on gas, 5x on utilities and comes with 15K anniversary points each year.  Plus it doesn’t take a 5/24 spot.

Wyndham Cards

Flexible Credit Cards That Transfer to Wyndham

Below are the current all-inclusive resorts available within the Wyndham Rewards portfolio. While the list isn’t huge compared to some hotel programs, there are still several great options across the Caribbean and Mexico.  There’s only a handful of All Inclusives bookable with Wyndham Points. Wyndham recently acquired the Decameron all-inclusives bringing that number up slightly.

4 Properties I Have My Eye On:

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres - 30k Wyndham Points per Night

This hotel is just north of Cancun and boasts a lagoon with a water taxi, and spacious grounds.  Cash rates can vary here but availability is typically easy to find.  A water park, spa, play areas for children and multiple dining options make this a win for families.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos, A Trademark All Inclusive Resort - 15k Wyndham Points per Night

An all-inclusive resort for just 15K points per night?  Okay, I’m listening. It won’t be the most luxurious but it’s a great way to have some “yes days” for your family while exploring Los Cabos.  Plus you won’t break the bank if you need two rooms for your family!

Pro tip: I love these hidden gems of all-inclusives that don’t break the bank.  Here’s why:  We LOVE going out to explore a few days on vacation without feeling guilty that we’re not taking full advantage of that expensive (even in points) all inclusive we booked.  Stays like this allow you to have days to explore off property guilt free and come back to a stress free evening at the resort!

Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay - 30k Wyndham Points per Night

This hidden gem sits on the eastern side of Crete overlooking the mountains and the Med. What more could you want? And it’s all inclusive. Oh, and the standard room has a private pool. Nine bars and restaurants, a pool, and spa make this a retreat you will not want to leave. But you should - because, you know, it's Crete.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana All Inclusive Resort - 30k Points per Night

This all inclusive is located just 20 minutes from the airport and sits on a beautiful beach. A waterpark on site, daily activities, and all day kids club make this a hidden gem for families. Actually, BRB- I think I’m going to go book this one!

Bottom Line

Wyndham Rewards offers a small but interesting selection of all-inclusive resorts that can be booked using points.

For couples, these redemptions can provide exceptional value since the room, meals, drinks, and entertainment are all included. Families may need to factor in additional guest fees or multiple rooms, but even then the ability to cover the base room cost with points can significantly reduce the overall price of the trip. Especially with unlimited food, drinks and entertainment. Sign me up.

If you’re looking for a way to stretch your Wyndham points further, an all-inclusive redemption could be worth considering—especially when you compare the cost to paying cash for the same vacation!
