How to Get Hyatt Club Lounge Access (And Which Hyatt Hotels Have It)
One of my favorite Hyatt perks doesn't require having status at all — it's Club Lounge access.
The first time we experienced it was during our first stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui, and I honestly didn't think much of it before we arrived. I knew we'd have access to the Regency Club Lounge, but I assumed it would be a small room with breakfast and maybe a few snacks.
I was wrong!
Every morning we'd head down for breakfast. We'd pop back in for drinks and snacks throughout the afternoon, and in the evenings we'd stop by for appetizers and desserts — enough some nights that we barely needed dinner. About halfway through the trip, my husband turned to me and said, "This is about as all-inclusive as it gets for Hawaii!" And he wasn't wrong. We spent far less on food that trip than we normally would on a Hawaii vacation!
If you've ever wondered what Hyatt club lounges actually are — or how you get access to one — this guide walks you through everything you need to know.
What Is a Hyatt Club Lounge?
A Hyatt Club Lounge (sometimes called a Regency Club or Grand Club) is a private lounge available at select Hyatt hotels.
While every hotel is a little different, most lounges include:
Complimentary breakfast
Coffee, tea, and soft drinks throughout the day
Snacks
Evening appetizers or light meals
Desserts
A comfortable place to relax outside of your room
Some lounges and offerings are fairly simple.
Others are more extensive and can save a family hundreds of dollars over the course of a vacation.
That's why I get so excited when I find a Hyatt I like with an open club lounge!
Which Hyatt Hotels Have Club Lounges?
One thing to know before you start planning your trip...
Hyatt doesn't publish an official list of hotels with active club lounges.
Lounges occasionally close for renovations, staffing, or other operational reasons, so I always recommend confirming directly with the hotel before booking if club access is important to you. They are mostly at Hyatt Regencys and Grand Hyatts, but not at all of them!
These are some of the most popular Hyatt properties that regularly offer club lounges.
United States:
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa
Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa
Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort
Hyatt Regency Orlando
Hyatt Regency Chicago
Hyatt Regency San Francisco
Grand Hyatt Washington
Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk
Grand Hyatt Nashville
Manchester Grand Hyatt San Fransisco
Hyatt Regency Seattle
International:
Hyatt Regency Amsterdam
Grand Hyatt Tokyo
Grand Hyatt Seoul
Grand Hyatt Taipe
Grand Hyatt Hong Kong
Hyatt Regency Hong Kong
Grand Hyatt Bali
Hyatt Regency Paris Ettoile
Grand Hyatt Berlin
Grand Hyatt Athens
Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay
Always verify with the hotel before your stay, as lounges occasionally close or temporarily suspend service.
How Do You Get Hyatt Club Lounge Access?:
There are three main ways.
1. Earn Hyatt Globalist Status
If you have Hyatt Globalist status, club lounge access is included whenever you're staying at a Hyatt with an open lounge.
If the lounge happens to be closed during your stay, Hyatt generally provides complimentary breakfast at the hotel's restaurant instead.
This is one of the reasons Globalist is considered one of the best hotel elite statuses.
If you're interested in earning Globalist, I have a full guide explaining exactly how we earn it each year.

2. Book a Club-Level Room
Some Hyatt hotels sell rooms that already include club lounge access.
You'll usually see names like:
Club Access Room
Regency Club Room
Grand Club Room
These rooms cost a little more than a standard room, but depending on your family size and the destination, they can save you money. For example, if breakfast for your family would normally cost $150 each morning, paying a little extra for a club room might be worth it to you, depending on how much you plan to use and eat at the Club.
3. Use a Hyatt Club Access Award
Hyatt gives out Club Access Awards as part of its Milestone Rewards program, and they're one of the reward options you can choose as you earn qualifying nights throughout the year.
Here's how it works:
20 qualifying nights in a calendar year (or 35,000 base points) → You can choose 2 Club Access Awards
30 qualifying nights in a calendar (or 50,000 base points) → You can choose 2 more Club Access Awards
Each Club Access Award can be applied to one eligible stay of up to 7 consecutive nights, and the awards are valid for the rest of the year you earn them plus an additional 14 months—so you have plenty of time to use them.
The best part? You don't necessarily have to earn one yourself.
Club Access Awards can be gifted to another World of Hyatt member, so if you have a friend or family member with extras they won't use before they expire, they can transfer one to you.
If you do want to earn your own, you don't need to rack up 20 or 30 actual hotel stays to get there. The World of Hyatt Credit Card can help you get there, too. It gives you 5 qualifying night credits every year just for having the card, plus 2 additional qualifying nights for every $5,000 you spend. That means your everyday spending can help you work toward earning Club Access Awards—even if you aren't staying at Hyatt hotels every month. The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card works a little differently — it gives you 5 qualifying night credits for every $10,000 you spend in a calendar year, so heavier spenders can climb toward Club Access Awards even faster (but it does not automatically give you 5 qualifying night credits every year for holding the card like the personal Hyatt card does).
Once you have a Club Access Award in your account, apply it as soon as you book your stay as the Club Lounge access can sell out!
Is Hyatt Club Lounge Access Worth It?
For our family... Absolutely! Especially in expensive destinations like Hawaii. Complimentary breakfast and then add:
bottled water
sodas
afternoon snacks
evening appetizers
desserts
It adds up quickly!
Even when we still went out for dinner, having breakfast covered and snacks available throughout the day made our vacation noticeably less expensive.
That said, if you are a picky eater or don’t think you’ll take advantage of the club, then it may not be worth it for you. Not all club lounges offer the same food either, so it may be worth doing a little research on what the specific property offers at their lounge before deciding.
Our Experience at the Hyatt Regency Maui Club Lounge
Our first stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui is what made me a huge fan of Hyatt club lounges!
Every morning we'd grab breakfast before heading down to the pools or beach. The kids loved stopping in throughout the day for drinks or a quick snack between swimming. In the evenings we'd come back for appetizers while watching the sunset and some nights the appetizers were filling enough that we skipped a big dinner altogether! Each night, they offered vegetables, meats, bread, cheeses and then something a little more substantial like pulled pork sandwiches, egg rolls, coconut shrimp, or sweet chili chicken! I’ve even heard you can ask the employees ahead of time what the menu is so you can plan eating out accordingly!
As a family, I loved that there was always something easy available without having to figure out where to eat or spend another $150 on a meal and it was one of those little perks that made the entire vacation feel easier.
If you're planning a stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui, I have a full review sharing everything we loved (and a few things I'd know before booking).

My kids loved grabbing chips, granola bars, cookies, fruit and soda during the day!

Final Thoughts
If you're just getting started with Hyatt, club lounges might seem like a small perk.
But after experiencing them ourselves, they've become something I actively look for when choosing where to stay.
For families especially, they can dramatically reduce food costs while making your vacation feel just a little more relaxing.
Whether you earn Hyatt Globalist status, book a club-level room, or use a Club Access Award, having lounge access is one of my favorite ways to stretch both Hyatt points and my travel budget a little further.
