What are 100k Chase Ultimate Rewards® Points Worth?

I love that Chase Ultimate Rewards® points are flexible, beginner friendly, and worth so much more than you think!

What are 100,000 bonus points worth?!

  • 100,000 Chase points are worth $1,000 IF you cash the points out. Which is great! But I usually don’t recommend doing that because…

  • 100,000 Chase points can be worth $1,000 - $1,750 in the Chase Travel℠ portal if you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred Card! (See Points Boost for more info!) But I usually don’t even recommend redeeming points here either!

  • But 100,000 bonus points can often be worth EVEN MORE when you TRANSFER your points to some of Chase’s travel partners!

What Does Transferring Even Mean?

When you earn Chase points, you don't have to keep them as Chase points forever. You can move them — or "transfer" them — into other loyalty programs, like an airline or hotel program. Once you transfer, your Chase points turn into THAT program's points, and you can use them directly on the airline or hotel's own website to book your flight or stay!

Let's see what 100k points can be worth if you transfer the points to some of my favorite transfer partners 🤯

Example #1:

Transfer 103k points to Southwest for 3 roundtrip flights from Phoenix to Honolulu in September! (When you transfer your points, your 100k Chase points will turn into Southwest points & you book on Southwest’s website).

Example #2:

Transfer 100k points to Flying Blue and book 4 one way flights from Phoenix to Paris on Air France!

Example #3: Transfer 90k points to Virgin Atlantic and book SIX one way flights from SLC to London!

Example #4:

🌴 Hyatt: 100,000 Chase points can transfer into enough Hyatt points for 2-3 free nights at a beautiful resort like the Hyatt Regency Maui during low season. Rooms like these often run $600–$700/night in cash — so you're getting way more than $1,000 worth of travel by transferring!

“Should I always transfer my points?”

Not always! Let me show you an example of when it’s a better deal to book in the Chase Travel portal instead of transferring your points.

You could book 3 nights at the Walt Disney World Dolphin, a Marriott operated property that comes with all of the Disney Deluxe resort perks for 97,539 points in the Chase Travel portal.

Or you'd have to transfer 210,000 Chase points to Marriott to book the exact same stay (with NO view!) on the exact same dates. NOPE. Not worth it.

My Take:

Chase points are valuable and I highly recommend opening and earning Chase points if you want to earn and redeem free travel!
